Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular summer reality show Big Brother which returned to CBS for its 22nd season on August 5. Chen Moonves had been one of The Talk's original hosts, hosting and moderating The Talk since 2010 to the year 2018, when she was the host. Her real passion came when she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. The fact that she hosted an amazing entertainment talk show won her a second Emmy. The Talk is a show which analyzes current affairs by having five host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS News' weekday morning program The Early Show in 2002 as well as in 2010, before becoming the host of the talk show. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour morning news program during the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq as well as other important reports, for The Early Show. After the attacks of 9/11 the news anchor was sent to Cairo and tracked down the lead hijacker's father for a riveting and shocking interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, queen Rania of Jordan, the former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has featured stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton located in Dayton Ohio (1995-1997). When she was finishing her last year of University, she served as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news program). She began her career working as an assistant with ABC News, working on the late-night news program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of Moonves' journalism idols. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel to produce the Columbia du-Pont-winning documentary Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at those who were involved in the Los Angeles riots of '92.
